Business Development and Sales/Marketing Officer

Job Description

StemCellerant is a looking for a business development and sales officer to join its team and help increase its partnerships and sales. The successful candidate must be familiar with the regenerative medicine space, and have general familiarity with iPSC differentiation work. Responsibilities include sales of the company's products and services including iPSC-derived cells and stem cell based technologies. The candidate must be able to communicate technical information on stem cell technologies to a sophisticated audience and identify and propose solutions to the academic, biotech, and pharma research community regarding the implementation of these technologies.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage current business and identify new opportunities within existing accounts, as well as identify, qualify, pursue and close new opportunities.

  • Develop and execute sales strategies and plans to expand business; maintain a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives.

  • Perform direct sales of the company's products and/or services, including iPSC-derived cells and stem cell based technologies.

  • Execute professional sales calls in the assigned territory via telephone and email (face-to-face customer meetings may be required) to increase profitable sales growth and territory penetration.

  • Must be able to communicate technical information on stem cell technologies to a sophisticated audience and identify and propose solutions to the research community.

  • Develop and maintain strategic account plans and work closely with sales team colleagues on executing against those plans.

  • Provide accurate forecasts and reports of sales activity in a timely manner.

  • Candidate must work collaboratively with the startup team (product management, applications support, marketing & communications, business development) as it relates to new product and application development, promotional activities, trade shows, etc.

  • Research competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this data in the business plan

 

Essential Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • A BS/BA degree in biological science or related field

  • One to two years sales experience preferred

  • Exhibit clear verbal and written communication

  • Must be able to work independently

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel skills are a must

  • Experience with customer relationship management software preferred (SalesForce.com)

Research Associate, Stem Cell Technology

 

 

Job Description

StemCellerant is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join its lab in Cambridge.  Our team is dedicated to designing cell therapies and medicines for diseases.  The Research Associate will aide in the research and development of the company’s internal research pipeline and assist in the development and delivery of therapeutic modalities.  The Research Associate will preferably be familiar with stem cell biology and delivery of Anti-Sense Oligonucleotides (ASOs) and Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV) delivery.  Skills needed include mammalian tissue culture, basic molecular biology, cell biology techniques, and microscopy.

Responsibilities

 

  • Implement and develop projects related to company internal R&D

  • Handle projects for clients and report progress to senior scientist(s)

  • Assist in lab operations, including maintenance of lab equipment and ordering of lab supplies

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Must have a Work Permit to work in the U.S.

  • Effective oral and written communication in English

  • Candidate must have a BS or MS or equivalent experience in one of the following areas: Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Bioengineering, or a closely related discipline.

  • Basic lab handling techniques.

  • Effective analytical and problem solving skills, including excellent attention to detail.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with mammalian tissue culture, preferably human pluripotent stem cells.

  • Working experience with Anti-Sense Oligonucleotides and AAV therapy

  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting expected deadlines.

  • Collaborative personality with strong interpersonal skills.
